About the service
Your first appointment will approximately be 30-40 minutes. You will be asked a series of questions about the problem area. You will then have a physical examination to assess the affected area.
The physiotherapist will then discuss with you an appropriate treatment plan which will include one or more of the following:
- Manual therapy
- Postural advice
- Self-management advice
It is important that you wear appropriate loose clothing such as a T-shirt, if it’s a problem area of your shoulder/elbow etc. If the problem area is your knee/leg then wearing shorts or loose jogging bottoms would be advisable.
Your follow up appointments will be made by the receptionist. Follow-up appointments usually take between 15 to 20 minutes.
We accept all referrals from GPs.
On the day of the appointment
On arrival you will be received by our reception staff then seen by the physiotherapist.
